“We treat as early as necessary – and as late as possible.”
In orthodontics for children and adolescents, correct timing is crucial. Not every dental or jaw misalignment needs to be corrected immediately – but certain situations require early treatment to prevent later problems. Our approach is therefore clear: we intervene when it is medically sensible and important for your child’s dental development.
We support children and teens with extensive experience, patience, and a systematic treatment concept. The goal is healthy development of teeth, jaws, and function – without unnecessary interventions.
There are misalignments and functional abnormalities where waiting could negatively affect your child’s dental development. We treat early in particular:
If the lower jaw has to deviate to the side when biting, this can lead to asymmetrical growth in the long term. Early correction helps prevent the development of lower facial asymmetry.
If individual front teeth protrude too far, the risk of dental accidents increases – especially in active children. Early correction provides protection.
If permanent teeth cannot find space because neighboring teeth are “blocking” them, we can clear the way early and avoid later complications.
These include, for example:
They can lead to permanent dental and jaw misalignments in the long term and must be addressed early.
If a child bites into the palate with the lower incisors and injures themselves as a result, this represents a bite situation requiring treatment.
If primary teeth are lost too early, space problems can develop later. With appropriate measures, we prevent misalignments before they arise.
Many dental and jaw corrections work best in the permanent dentition. Therefore, we closely monitor some situations at first and plan the optimal timing together with you.
We guide you clearly, honestly, and transparently so that your child receives exactly the treatment they need. No more, but no less.
We place great importance on making sure that children and parents understand why a treatment is necessary and when the right time for it is.
What you can expect from us:
Because a good start is essential – not only for the position of the teeth, but also for building trust in the treatment.
Our aim is to ensure that your child:
Beautiful, healthy teeth are the result – but the path to get there is clearly defined from a medical perspective.
